Billing
Manage each Openship Cloud server's coverage, usage, upgrades and payments, including from a linked self-hosted installation.
Openship Cloud resources
Billing manages the selected Cloud server. Your own servers are free to manage; linked self-hosted installations can also manage Cloud billing.
Choose a server
Select a server in Billing to inspect its own plan, usage and payments. The right card lists existing servers on usage and history tabs; Plans keeps a compact selector in the header. Get server opens a separate server purchase. A server without a plan keeps the selector so you can return to another server.
A first purchase shows Monthly plans and Prepaid PAYG. Monthly plans and Custom use the same purchase controls. The PAYG pricing preview has resource tier tabs inside the resource configurator. Each tier shows its shared CPU, RAM, storage and server allowance, together with the credit-purchase amount needed to unlock it. Resource inputs stay intact when switching tiers. Configurations above a pool's limits show the excess and offer a larger tier when one fits.
Choose a credit package to see its qualifying tier and estimate one server's hourly cost at full CPU usage using the provider's published rates. Spending credits does not lower a tier. Purchases are not available yet; the displayed selections do not grant access or change an existing plan. Both purchase views end with an Enterprise contact card for larger or tailored needs.
Coverage and usage
Monthly subscriptions include the purchased CPU, RAM and disk for the full paid month, without another compute-credit allowance. Overview puts Monthly coverage and the paid-through date after plan capacity and usage. Usage shows recorded CPU time and resource measurements. The server page separates actual usage from provisioned capacity; unavailable measurements stay unknown.
Monthly servers include managed internet transfer. Billing shows its available allowance, or Unlimited when confirmed by the provider, and current-period usage. Public app routes and backups are separate. Transfer exhaustion does not end paid compute coverage. Existing metered subscriptions keep their saved terms and credit displays; updating Openship does not convert them.
| Tab | What it does |
|---|---|
| Overview | Current plan, period, coverage and renewal controls. |
| Usage | Recorded resource usage over the selected period. |
| Plans | Review upgrades or other plans, including Custom resources. |
| Top-ups | Shown only for eligible saved metered subscriptions. |
| Payments | Unfinished payments, plus invoices and cards in the server's scoped Stripe portal. |
Finish or cancel a checkout
Open Pending payments in the Billing header to find unfinished payments across your Cloud servers, including servers without an active plan. Connected desktop and self-hosted installations offer the same recovery flow without creating local execution links. A server's Payments tab lists its own unfinished payments; the header action lists all of your Cloud servers' payments.
Resume payment opens the original checkout with its saved plan and price. Cancel payment closes a supported checkout after the provider confirms it cannot be paid. If confirmation is still pending, retry cancellation or refresh; do not start a competing purchase. Payments that have already been submitted link to their verification status instead.
After confirmed cancellation or expiry, choose another plan or delete the unused server using the existing delete confirmation. If cancellation is unavailable, resume the payment, wait for expiry, or contact support.
Change or cancel a plan
Review change shows the provider's amount due now, effective date and projects that may restart. Upgrades apply after payment. Resource reductions and changes of billing mode take effect at renewal. Review the actual quote before confirming. If payment needs authentication, use Complete payment. Pending operations stay visible and can be canceled when allowed; retries reuse the same operation.
After payment, the existing server resize worker applies the approved resources. If projects changed after review, Apply plan capacity asks for an updated restart confirmation. A resize can be retried without buying the plan again. Disks can grow but cannot shrink in place; use Custom to retain storage while reducing other resources, or migrate to another server.
Canceling renewal preserves the paid period. When coverage ends, compute stops and retained disks follow the saved storage terms. Retention does not mean free storage: billing continues until deletion, with no automatic deletion at the minimum retention review date. Overview shows these terms and any storage amount due. Invoices and cards stay scoped to this server, not other customers or the provider account.
Make room for another deployment
Apps and source builds share the managed server. A new project does not reserve another VM or disk, and container sizes are limits within the existing host. Image-only installs do not allocate a source builder. Inspect server usage, stop an idle service if memory is tight, or review a larger plan. See Servers for progress, logs and recovery.
Credit warnings
Only saved metered subscriptions show low-credit notices. Monthly coverage does not depend on an old credit balance. See credit warnings and recovery for the metered flow, and the billing API for the endpoints.
